Filling empty hands
He didn’t earn his keep
As long as he stayed down
The pack would let him be
As long as he was hiding
He felt like he was free
One day he found his voice
His heart grew stronger too
He knew he had a purpose
He had to follow through
They came for him
To shut him down
Threatening his demise
With lies and stories told
What fight it was to rise
With nothing left to lose
He could have let it go
But wolf stayed true
To what he knew
He always has a choice
It would take time
For truth to shine
But time was on his side
He patiently waited
And darkness faded
The lies bound up their arms
